Difference in specs between these 2 SSD's?

Hey forums! I am planning to upgrade into an SSD, i have already decided to go with intel or kingston, and i was looking at these 2. Spec wise, how big of an improvement is the second one?

apparently Kingston changed the NAND in the V300 to slower stuff but retained the same model number. I don't think you can tell which you are getting.

So, of those two; definitely get the Hyper X, but I'd probably get some other brand (Samsung, Crucial, Intel).

But the fact is, they are all good compared to an HDD. I'd buy based on price, support, warranty, and features rather than performance specs.

You can fish around and find benchmarks showing way better benchmarks on the Hyper X, but the differences in day to day usage might not even be noticeable.

Using your information and some others i found online, i read that the HyperX is noticablly faster, i dont wan't to spend over 100$ (Not including shipping and handling and taxes) I think i narrowed it down to either the first one in my first post, or this one. If I wanted a 120 GB SSD priced under $100, I'd choose from these:

Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE120BW 2.5" 120GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Newegg.com - Crucial M500 120GB SATA 2.5" 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal Solid State Drive CT120M500SSD1

The Intel 530 is about $106, just out of your limit.

But I do use Kingston products and they do have good support and warranties. So I'm sure you would do fine with the Hyper X.

One thing that I have started doing that seems to help is to find two or three that you might want and read the reviews of people who have bought them. The reviews help me to decide on which one to buy.
