Is there a big diffrence between uploading information on Skydrive and just sending an email attachment to someone directly?

Most email providers have a limit on size of file can be attached, pictures in high definition can exceed that limit easily, so can a video file... a whole file of camera pics can be uploaded to skydrive and a link to them sent in the email, makes it easy. :)

Another advantage is that if you upload e.g. a PDF, it can be read directly in the browser with the web app.

Example - unfortunately the hyperlinks do not work any more since they changed to OneDrive, they used to.
