Disconnected wired internet don't know how to connect again

I disconnected my wired internet on my pc by right clicking on the internet icon down on the right toolbar and therefrom i disconnected. Right now I can't connect it back. I've tried unplugg and plugg it in (not working) and restarting the pc (again, not working). Help?

FIXED! i uninstalled hamaichi and then troubleshooted problems. It said "the local area connection adapter is disabled". I fixed it and now it works!

Hamachi routinely causes connection problems as does the Microsoft virtual WIFI mini port adaptor.
