Disk Defragmenter Stuck

Hello just a quick question.

When I run Disk Defragment it all goes well up until Pass 2: 0% Relocated.

It just stops there and will not continue, even for an hour or so.

Any ideas?

When was the last time it completed a full run ?

Probably about 3 weeks ago.

Also sorry Pass 2: 0% defragmented* is what it's stuck on, not sure if that makes a difference

Just for the heck of it, leave your pc on all nite and see if it will finish.

In the meantime install Smart Defrag 2 and use that.

I don't think leaving it on all night will do anything ...

Anyone got any ideas?

The Windows (any version) built-in defragmentation utilities have always suffered from similar problems.

Install a dedicated freeware defragging utility (my preference is Auslogics Disk Defrag) and it's guaranteed to do its work as advertised.
