Disk error

Every once in a while I get this when I try to boot up my PC and it will not go past this screen.

I have to shut it down and reboot several times to clear it. The time before last I had to unplug everything but my main hard disk to get it to boot up into windows.
The one is supposed to be a DVD burner (same as the channel one slave)
Any advice?

Hi. Yes. Lower the overclocking.

It will even do it at stock speeds.
I've run this PC at the speed I'm at for nearly a year and this just started about 2 mo. ago.

Is SMART enabled? Could be a disk not mapping bad sectors and excluding them...

These things can happen when hardware is run outside of its intentions.

All I know is if I unplug that DVD drive, it will boot so I'm assuming the DVD drive is going out.

Did you test with the DVD drive in and normal clocking?

yes I have... it still wouldn't go past that screen. It's the drive and as cheap as they are I'm not going to sweat it..I'll toss it and buy another one whenever that one completely quits.
