Solved diskpart/clean by accident....need to recover partitions,begging :'(

It depends on the storage controller driver and it's features if it can read the SMART data from the physical harddrive. And if so, it sends you an alert if drive is almost dead

BIOS can talk to the disk directly and asked to SMART firmware on harddrive... "What are the failure statistics" . You never did that before I assume? If not ... I do neither ... maybe this is the case a long time

No, Im sure there wasn't. Because I mentioned earliar that I do check my whole system once a month. It includes bios startup test, run in test, memory test and hard.

So last time, there wasnt any. And never had hard disk error message too.

Thats what I got from reading some old posts.
Tomorow I have arranged everything to do a wipe clean of my hard and build partitions and everything again. So,

I what I ask is that, should I take this into consider seresly or shall I post back after tomorow if this continues?

It has nothing to do with the PW recovery process. Also not a problem caused by MACRIUM. Although they read and write a lot of disk blocks. And if the disk controller can't read/write he retries. And if retry count is very large... smart reports an error.

Backup all your data as soon as possible!!! Replace disk with a new one.
I think your drive is dying.

You need to immediately backup everything you need on that disk and be prepared to replace it.

But backup first. Because computer repairshop most likely just swaps the drive and put a default installation on it

Oh, for the backup, should I use a backup software or just copy and paste? What would be the most suitable?

Copy and paste or XCOPY or ROBOCOPY from the command line would probably be best. But this must be to a different physical disk NOT a partition on the same disk.

just copy all partitions to an empty external (or make unallocated space on it). Symbolic it's like copy paste a whole partition. Remember for later they were all primary partitions and remember which one was ACTIVE.

Now can attach the external to another machine and chkdsk/f the partitions. Don't change them!
Later you can copy them back to new empty harddisk. Make them primary and make the right one active. Perform a "startup repair" from win7 recovery environment afterwards.

Quite easy and can be done with a lot of software

clone the partitions is better!! All security and file dates must be kept!

okay, thank you for all the advices.

Problem is I don't have a exHD to clone or copy entire D and E. All the data capacity is around 357gb.

So, I have contacted some of my collegues and got enoug chunks from their drives like 100gb from one, 50gb from another, 80gb from another, anothe 100 and 30 from a another (lot of traveling tomorow )

So I guess Im left with copy and paste or with macrium backup( I bought the prof version).
Dealer promised to check it and give a replacement or upgrade to 1tb for small extra money. So now its time to wait.

OK. Hope it goes well for you. The Macrium F&F backups work well. For the longer term you will need an external HDD for backup purposes.
