Hello everyone
I recently installed windows 7 ultimate and i have some serious issues with it.
at first when i installed it, and it booted for the first time into windows i got the BSOD everytime, only way i got passed it was to boot up with driver certification disabled. i was finally able to boot into windows 7.
First thing i noticed was that everything responded very slow, if i clicked the start button it took up to 5 seconds for it to respond. still everything acts very slow.
so after a while i got the error "display driver nvidia windows kernel mode driver 195.39 stopped responding and has recovered succesfully"
so my screen starts to flicker black, and i get the BSOD once in a while.
I can't run the performance test because my system freezes up.
i tried upgrading/downgrading nvidia drivers, installed direct x disable aero and so on
ive done alot of research on the web but i can't find any solutions to it.

My system :

gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DQ6 F3
amd dual core 6000+
4gb ram
geforce 9800x2
hdd 320gb

thanks in advance

195.39 is a beta driver. Try a stable one.

compress and upload your minidumps here.

All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.
i tried several drivers keep getting same error
how do i compress and upload minidumps?

thanks for the reply :)

Install from http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us instead. Choose appropriately for your system. Either x86 32-bit or x64 64 bit depending on which version of Windows you've installed. (You have x64.)

I've had problems like this before. They were usually due to the video card itself and/or power supply or voltage issues.

In fact I have one system that behaves similarly right now. In order to prevent crashes I had to bump up the chipset voltage in the BIOS. It seems the motherboard is dying.

Copy and paste sfc /scannow to elevated command prompt. Hit enter.

Then from start menu search box, type system information. Hit enter. Then on screen that pops up, ctrl+s to save.
Use Winrar on the saved file and then attach the .rar to a post.

Yeah sorry I missed that in your sig. I was going by specs in your first post.

Voltage issues are not always related to power supply as I have recently found out.

Here's the main problem. There should be no reason to disable enforcement here. You probably installed some weird version of the driver at this point.

Yeah. Your problem seems to be that you're running Microsoft supplied driver currently.

Install through device manager from NVidia's site if you haven't managed to find any other way by:

Boot to safe mode. Right click video card in device manager. Update driver software. Browse. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Find the .inf that the install extracted to a folder inside C:\NVIDIA

Double click on it. Hit ok and let it install. Reboot and then run setup.exe to get the control panel for NVIDIA.

Before going into safe mode, boot to bios and disable any unused ports like serial, parallel or floppy etc...

Also in device manager, see if you can find Security Processor Loader driver and disable it. You might have to set it show hidden devices first by clicking on anything first, then view at top.

Update bios and chipset drivers from Gigabyte website for best results.
