Well ok, I think that most people probably agree that it's reasonable to assume that universe wide there has to be /at least/ 1 of not billions of other pockets of intelligence out there...

The real question is... do you believe that they have visited or are visiting the earth?!?

Logically, I find it hard to believe that anyone could assume that, with a large as the universe is, that THIS is the only planet with some kind of intelligent life on it. It's just too vast for there to be one single (and in reality, miniscule) planet that just happened to get lucky.
