Hi everyone

I want to know if my motherboad supports the following RAM module ?

Motherboard : Motherboard Specifications, MCP61PM-HM (Nettle3) HP Pavilion a6532f Desktop PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

RAM : Amazon.com: Kingston ValueRAM 2GB 800MHz DDR2 Non-ECC CL6 DIMM Desktop Memory: Electronics

There is only 1 working DIMM slot on my MOBO, thats why Im buying thise RAM from 1GB to 2GB :D

My current RAM : Samsung 1GB 1Rx8 PC2 6400U 666 12 ZZ 1GB DDR2 Memory Philippines - 6032073

From the motherboard specifications it looks as though it would be supported. 240 pin DDR2 800mhz ram. Max of 8gb supported on the motherboard and supports 2gb max sticks. Looks perfectly fine to me.

According to the link you provided about your motherboard, it does support dual channel.

The motherboard has 4 RAM slots.

To get the dual channel capability, you'd have to fill 2 or 4 of the slots with compatible RAM. If you used 1 stick or 3 sticks, it would not run in dual channel.

Dual channel matters, but not a lot.

"Dual channel" is a function of the motherboard rather than the RAM itself.
