ASP.NET Machine Account Control, (Administrator), will notlet me Change anything without a password!

I’m using Windows 7, logged in as Standard User, withpassword word protection. Using Flight Simulator 9, with Update KB3086255, willnot launch. I located the update and removed it

Somehow, ASP.NETMachine Account is logged in as Administrator, with password Protection, andwill not let me change anything, without the password, which I don’t know

While logged in as administrator, Use Search box Administrative Tools -> Computer Management, Local Users and Groups, Users. Click on ASPNET account once then right-mouse click on ASPNET and delete it.

If this still does not work for you then you must go into the registry and look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList. If this path does not exist then it needs to be properly created.

When the registry key exists, you need to edit it and add ASP.NET machine account to the UserList key. Adding to the UserList key has the effect of causing the system to hide the user account, and prevent it from being shown.

Other people who have had this problem have found a virus has done this as it's not normal behaviour. Download a free virus scan boot disk boot it and do a scan see what it finds

It is also a bug in older .NET framework, and is known by Microsoft could have been accidently loaded when launching Flight Simulator 9. Uninstalling Flight Simulator 9 will not help remove the password problem.

Tried your suggestion with out any luck.I guess the only autumnal is format and restore, which I'm coserned about, If the ASP.NET turns up again, that means format and restore, again, and ,again.

ASP.NET is a microsoft tool for developing web pages and is an optional feature of the operating system. The problem you describe is a known bug associated with framework 1.1, but quite why you are seeing this on more up to date frameworks, I have no idea. There are several solutions to the problem, the most up to date solution I could find is here https://superuser.com/questions/613070/remove-asp-net-machine-account-from-windows-8-1-start-screen . Solution sould work on windows 7 8.1 and 10. Good luck.

ProblemCorrected!

FlightSimulator won’t run with. Update KB3086255 installed, removing it is a bad ideaas “Standard User” remove it as “Administrator”,

When youremove it as Slandered Use have a chance you will allow a hidden Program known as“ASP.NET Machine Account” , This program will be your Administrator. ThisProgram has the ability to not letting you operate, many, many, functions, likechanging User Accounts, deleting or adding other updates, and transferring filesfrom one program to another. This program is in update for JAVA Programmers in.“Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1”

Thishappened to me, two days ago, I was locked out of every program I tried to use.

Restoring myComputer gave me the chance to Change my User accounts from Standard user toAdministrator User.

After Ichanged my user, I was able to correct my programs.
