DOS storage in ie9

My bad DOM,
Is this a necessary thing to have,
I read a little about it and it seems to be just a cookie storage location,
Do I really need another windows temporary folder accumulating garbage or not ?
If you go to internet options/ advanced and scroll all the way down the list it's enabled.

Yes that was the reading I was referring to,
But this seems not a very useful thing for me personally because I do not have a domain I want to police, and don't have a couple of other users I want to be big brother of,
It just seems to me to be another dumping ground of garbage files from microsoft ?

DOM Storage was part of HTML 5, now its own standard. Not a dumping ground from Microsoft.

If this was really necessary there would be no way to 1) disable dom storage and 2) clear it with browser history and cookies.
My conclusion is disable it I have enough junk to keep up with from microsoft,
