There are a number of file sin my download folder and I cannot access them. I can see the files by clicking on the download arrow to the right of the search window, and this brings up a list of files. However, I can see no way of:
1 moving these files to where I want them;
2 locating the download folder using the search function;
3 locating the download folder usingthe command line c:\dir download*.* /s; and
4 setting a location for the downloads.
There's most probably online advice about this but I cannot find it. Assistance is sought. TIA.

Ethel, thanks. That does not work. I can see c:\users\user\downloads, and there a handful of files there. If I access the downloads via the download arrow (circled) there's a different folder. This is the folder I want to find and have in a differerent location.

I cannot see where this download folder is located. I also cannot see how to put an image in the middle of a post, or to make the image the size of the image and not full width.

Hi again, The Download file you mention is usually seen when you click on the startorb, then your user

name at the top of the list on the right, but if you do not have this, there is another tutorial below to have a

look at and see if it helps at all. :D

Sorry, that just brings up the favourites\download folder, which is not the same as the DL folder where all the files are laoding. This is insane. It should be so easy to find a folder and manipulate data, and yet it's not. Using a command line in DOS 4.01 and even DOS 3.3 one could go c:\dir download*.* /s and find an answer in a few seconds. Why is it so hard in this alleged sophisticated software? I'm not even sire if it's the OS or Firefox. I just sent someone a small attachment, and this was put into the DL folder. Unreal. Why save a file that I already have, and why not ask me if I want to save it?

Hi again, Under Firefox options, there is an option to always ask you where to save files, if you think it

is a Firefox problem.:D

Hi again, Another thing you can try. Right click on the startorb, open windows explorer, and the downloads

folder is on the left, if I open mine all the downloads are listed there.:D

Different browsers can save files on different folders.
Witch browser did you use to download the files?
In Firefox, on menu bar - Tools - Options - On Download there is an option Save files to: and on the right a browse button that will take you to the folder.
If you can't see the Menu bar, right click the tab line and enable Menu bar.
