Download/Internet problem with Windows 7

Since I installed Windows 7 I noticed a strange problem- i can't download some files, no matter what browser/download client i'm using.

The download freezes at 90%-98% and won't finish. This is about random files (drivers, .doc, .pdf, ...etc) The problem is not in the files (i downloaded them using another internet connection on another computer, so they are not corrupted or something).
I also have problems opening some clips (maybe 5 out of 20 won't open).

The other problem is with World of Warcraft. When i enter the game, after 1 sec everything freezes, like my connection has stopped. If i am alone it is OK, but as soon as another player shows on the screens, this happens.

I am using a Broadband (PPPoe) connection. I called the ISP, but they said that everything on my connection is normal. There are other people using this ISp and windows 7, but they are not having such problems.

I thier different things- changing my LAN card, disabling IPv6, running programs as administrator... but none of them helped.

I hope that you can help me solve this issue.
Thanks

For a heads up.... people on the other end of the phone can only see their modem and back.... they could care less anything going to the ethernet cable going out of the cable/dsl modem.

I called up road runner and they said that everything was fine on their end. My connection was flawless when it came to the network. I went through hours of nothing....

then 5 hours later when i woke up... the internet just happen to be working fine... so just becareful from what they tell you, sometimes they just say that to get you off the phone.

Yes but what is at the other end of the LAN card (aka your machine)?

The others that you say are using th same ISP, are they you mates, who uses the same method of connection as you?

I find this weird

PPP adapter optic:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : optic
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . :
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes

DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 91.193.156.4
91.193.156.5
NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Disabled

This should not give you internet access at all.

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ether
NIC
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-E0-4C-FC-39-5D

Neither will your ethernet, as your DNS servers cannot be that. And you don't have a DNS suffix?

If you can compare your ipconfigs with your mates, the difference will be telling.

The first one, named "optic" is the name of the broadband connection i created to connect to the internet. The second one mabe shows the LAN card (it shows "no internet access", but if i disable it, it says "cable unplugged".

The other clients of the ISP use the same method to connect. I will see if anyone can post their settings in the isp forum.
I will also try to enable dns suffix from the connection 's properties.

I guess the next best thing to do is to compare between your ipconfig and your mate's.
