I downloaded chrome a few days ago, it looked pretty cool but when I tried to download a program, the download did not start.
I re-installed chrome 3 times and rebooted my computer, what should I do?

Hi and welcome to 7F. It could be something to do with your AVG Internet Security. Is it a paid version or the free one. If the free one try to uninstall it and use Microsoft Security Essentials to see if it works then or see if you can find if AVG is blocking Chrome. Does the same happen on Firefox

ShimShom, based on your suggestion about this problem being about AVG, I looked at the quarantine and for some reason Chrome was there, I removed it from the quarantine and now I can do downloads on chrome, Thanks!

Glad it helped and as the internet pond fills up with more sharks it seems even legit software gets flagged at times as dangerous which I suppose works on the assumption of better safe than sorry
