Hi,

I'm waiting for my Windows 7 Professional to be delivered and I was reading throught the helpful clean install guide. I'm going from XP - W7

It states it would be good to back up your drivers before then transferring them back to window7 once it's installed.

But I can't seem to find a guide for doing that.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Radical Hi and welcme to sevenforums

First win 7 will find most of the drivers for you during installation. Second XP drivers wont usually work in win 7. there is no way to back up a driver and transfer them. they have to be installed.

I have done about 25 win 7 installs and have had to look for under 10 drivers.

Hope this helps

Ken

I'll see what happens, just got my W7 tonight, but found out my old comp is no longer working to transfer my files to back up. So off to the shops to get an external HD
