Dual boots

A normal Command Prompt In Other Words Then Type bcdedit in the prompt. Then press enter. And Lower IT DOwn And Take a Screen Shot And Post It Here, By attaching When you post, do not use quick reply but instead do ther longer and scroll down to attachments and then add your screen shot by uploading. Screenshots can be made by pressing Print Screen Button on Keyboard, and if on laptop you might have to push the FN button.

Ok screen shot above can you tell me why I do not have option to boot vista

OK, So.. Have You Tried Downloading VistaBootPRO 3.3 Its For XP and Vista But It Should Work Fine Still.

Only 7 is there. But I can get to vista going to my computer so it is there. Just not at boot

Can I set it up so when I reboot it will ask me which one to open either vista or 7?

Hi Mickrg123,

That's interesting.

You would normally expect the Win 7 partition to show as C and the Vista partition to be invisible to you when you boot into Win7.

You would then usually go into Disk Management and assign a letter to Vista in order to be able to see it when booted into 7.

Once you have done that, bcdedit would be expected to show Bootmgr ( the first entry ) as being on the same partition as Vista.

Go to Disk Management and post a jpeg screenshot of it, like this :



To get to Disk Management, right click Computer on the start menu >Manage - wait a few secs. for it to appear> double click Disk Management in the left pane.

Glad to see easybcd sorted it out.

Curious as to how that happened in the first place. Did you clean install 7 from a dvd to another partition you had created ?
