Recently i was caught in a situation where a Laptop with base installation of windows 10 with GPT type Disk was needed to be configured with Windows 7 too as a dual boot operating system.
I tried my best but failed. I search for the solution but in vain.
I want to ask is there any possibility to install windows 7 on a preinstalled windows 10 laptop as a dual boot option??

I would also like to ask here is there any possibility to format a specific partitionn in GPT rather than messing with the whole HDD as in case if there is useful data placed in HDD on other partitions??

I can't provide much help but I know this. You'll need to install Windows 7 over Windows 10 then install Windows 10. You'll need to backup Windows 10 otherwise it wont be activated. Reason being is because older versions of Windows won't reqonise the boot files for the newer versions of Windows. If you don't install Windows 7 over Windows 10 then install Windows 10 on a partion you could render you'r PC unusable because the boot files will be messed up and nothing will read them. I learned this the hard way and it was a nightmare for me.
