Solved Edit RDP file? WTH!?!

I am trying to tweak my RDP and I visited a couple online links where they say that I have to edit my RDP file in notepad. Since it's not possible to edit an EXE file I suppose that those guys are just going half way by not explaining things right.

Anyway, any idea of what is this RDP file that can be edited and where it is?

Show options and then save as. There should already be a default.rdp file in your profile folder. I confirmed that the files are text readable in notepad++ but I've never had to edit one.
