What is your idea of an ideal future? I would like more than almost anything else, augmented reality glasses which I could point to an object, and it would be highlighted. I could then write a message virtually onto it and anyone else with such glasses could see it. Imagine a day where video games were played outside using such augmented reality devices? This would be virtual reality on steroids. All the awesome things that computers can do + exercise. Obesity could drop, we'd be healthier, and it would be really cool being able to play things like Call of Duty as if it were real war, minus the no respawning, and terrible suffering bits. Maybe we'll even see antimatter power plants harvesting energy from colliding matter with antimatter.
