Error 0xc000000e "Boot Selection failed- Required device Inaccessible"

Hello,

Last night i was trying to update my AMD SATA AHCI Controller driver, but i shouldn't do while being sleepy....

My hand moved before my brain realised...I uninstalled the device BUT i also checked the option for deleting the drivers.

Now, i get the error while booting :

0xc000000e

The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible

What i realise is that windows are trying to find the device needed to boot ( stored on boot info) , but device is not there.

Ι already searched the forum for similar problems and already tried to do a Startup Repair from Windows Installation Disc repair menu (3 consequent times as written), with no result.

No restore points either.

Is there any way to manually fix this or my only path is a repair install ? All my data are safely backed-up.

ΕDIT : I don't know if this is the proper subforum for the above problem, i posted here because it was caused by a driver uninstall. If mods/admins think it does not fit in this subforum please tell me.

Well, i found the solution after some 50-60 Google results reading...

Solution was found in this page.

Analytically :

I loaded Recovery Console from my Windows 7 Installation Disk.

Had the AMD SATA Driver folder copied to a cd from my second pc. Driver directory was "W764A"

Ran diskpart and list volume to check the cd's volume letter

Ran the following command ( D: is CD ROM, D:\W764A is Driver Directory, C: is Windows Installation ) :

D:\dism /Image:C:\ /Add-Driver /Driver:D:\W764A\ /Recurse

I typed exit to exit Recovery Console, rebooted and voila....Windows Started normally...

Glad it was solved....
