We have an error every time we did the Windows Update for Windows 7 SP1 for x64-based Systems (KB976932).
We have the posting instruction as follow:
1. We did the SURT and complete.
2. We also did "sfc /scannow" and no found any errors
3. Error Code: 80070490 - Windows Update encountered an unknown error.
4. Try to attached the zip file for Windows Logs\CBS - it has 24MB after compression. We can split the file BUT it won't allow to submit due to it has something like CBS.zip.01.
One other Desktop (tester) and spare Toshba laptop both with SSD's

Please remove the oldest two or three 'CBSPersist' files from the zip, and post the remainder - or split the zip down into chunks of <8MB and post them separately.

I had a heck of a time with yesterdays updates. They kept failing. I had to repair .NT twice in order to get them all installed. It took me about two hours.
