I am trying now to restore my PC but the process is terminated with the drop up window:
an unspecified error occurred during System Restore. (0x800700b7)

Do I need to reinstall completely my operating system and format the disc?:cry::cry:

Hi Vinnee, welcome to Seven Forums,

I am trying now to restore my PC but the process is terminated with the drop up window: An unspecified error occurred during System Restore. (0x800700b7).
How are you trying to restore your PC. Is it using a recovery partition or a disk?
Have you tried it with your AV disabled?

I hope this helps!

Hi Vinnee,

Please update your system spec, here's a tutorial and automated tools for the task
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

Try running sfc /scannow from Administrative Command Prompt
If no integrity violations run system restore in safe mode

If integrity violation that sfc /scannow cannot fix
Run System Update Readiness Tool (SURT)
SURTx32
SURTx64
Logs are temporary located at: C:\Windows\Logs\CBS
Please post CheckSUR.log, just that log, not the entire CBS folder.

If everything checks out, we might have to tweak a registry entry.

To Paul and Snick,

Thank you guys for your assistance!

I managed to find a solution to fix it. The problem was in the wrong backup files for the last boot. I managed to clean the last one and than I could switch to stable configuration. I found the solution how to manage that without installing additional programs on this site.

But once again, thank you!
