Thank you so much!

Disk checking with the Attempt to Recover Bad Sectors option ticked fixed the job.

Hello, Noel.

The error is somewhat recurring but it's when installing the malicious software removal tool and another .Net 3.5 framework security update. Seems like I am just not out of it yet. I tried repairing it but it seems like this error is here to stay.

Here is the most recent CheckSUR file.

Most of these errors appear to be from a single update.

I'll post a fix for them tomorrow (with luck!)

I've uploaded a file - h91aa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder h91aa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

Great! CheckSUR is happy now.

Please do a new Check for Updates, then attempt to install ONLY the oldest update found - if it installs OK, go for the rest.
If not, then post the WindowsUpdate.loog file

Sorry, I know this is an old thread. Noel, that file you mentioned above is not in your OneDrive anymore, still have it?
