Error code 9c59 when updating from IE9 to IE11

Hi,
I am and have had the problems with updating IE9 to IE10 and now IE9 to IE11.
Upon failure to upgrade I get the error code 9c59.
Any thoughts?

I did run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT).
I did run the SFC Scan.
I did post the Windows Update Error Code.
I did start a New Thread (this one).


Unfortunately, running the SFC scan ruined my Windows Mail hack to allow it to run under Windows 7.
I spent the whole night reinstalling WM and retrieving my mail stores.
I value Windows Mail far more than I do IE10 or even IE11.
So, unless I can find a way to upgrade without disturbing WM, I'll just keep using IE9.

Am at a loss to why because I have never had any problems with doing all this.

Whenever I have done reinstalling WLM the mails just flood back in - its a pain but just takes some time??

You say you've done the scans - you MUST post the results!

SFC and CheckSUR may have done a lot more than just replace the dlls involved in WM - and that hack can be allowed for in the repairs.

I attempted to upload the results but they were too large.
Is there a workaround?

Delete the older CBSPersist cab files before compressing the folder and uploading.

You might want to look at your installed updates to see if you have KB2909921 from the Feb.2014 updates. In reading the WM tutorial it sounds like that KB made WM more stable in IE11. Wish I could be more positive about that but I'm still on IE9 myself & most likely won't be updating just yet.
