Error trying to update BIOS

I am trying to update my BIOS to TRY to run my new processor and I keep getting errors like "IHISI get support mode failed" and "The utility has detected your notebook pc was resuming from standby." Help me please!!

hi,are you 100% sure its the right update for you computer ,
did you try disabling the standby mode before you try the bios update .
care to share the make and exact model of the computer ,
does the update say it will offer support for your new cpu .
