Hello everyone.
I recently installed Windows 7 on my other computer, and I thought everything was going well. Well then I restarted after the installation only to find that it hangs at "Verifying DMI Pool Data". Then, when I restart again and select boot menu, it asks for a password, which I don't have because I didn't set one yet. Could anyone help me on this issue?
Appreciated,
John

I'm guessing that's a bios password.

John Hi and welcome

This may be part and parcel of the pool data but fortunatley has several easy cures. look here for how to reset it How do I Reset a BIOS Password? . The hardware cmos, and jumpers are easy. If you can find the hardware jumper do that first

Good luck and let us know if you need help

Your right its a BIOS password, but none of them worked, any other solutions?
There is a program which resets the BIOS password or something. Let me go search it.

I actually found two of them.

!BIOS

CmosPwd

I don't know really how to use them since I haven't had this problem yet at least. But I think you might need a USB stick or something. Refer to the help sections of the software.

Hey that looks cool and everything, but will Cmospwd work without starting the computer? Like if I burn it to a disk or something.

Since, I never tried, I can't tell. But I'm pretty sure that's what it was made for.
