Solved Eset Online Scanner ?

Unable to get Eset Free Online Scanner.
Get a message (unable to get proxy settings)
I have never got this before. I don't use a proxy of any kind.
Tried using Firefox and I.E.10 same results.

If you have not solved the problem yet, could you use the Snipping Tool and provide a capture of the error message you are getting?

Also, have you tried Chrome Browser?

Safe Mode with Networking?

Lets see what this setting shows

Click on the rb: start button inside

type Internet Options. Inside Internet Options click on the Connections tab and then click on LAN Settings button . Make sure there is no check under Proxy Server .

Thanks for coming to my assistance.

All this started with not being able to shut down and a freeze when trying. Power button shut down and restart and things would work for about a hour and then do it again. Temps are normal.
Checked internet options; no proxy.
Ran scans with Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebytes Anti Malware Pro, Adwcleaner. No problems found.

The only change I did to try to fix this problem was remove Erunt and went back to Sata II Intel from Sata III Marvell. Marvell has given me problems before. Run sfc /scannow. No problems.
In Event Viewer I had
Root CIMV2/0X80041003
Did a restore point. Removed Erunt again. Update security again.
Ran the computer until late last night with no problems.
Tried Eset Online Scanner a few minutes ago and it finished and found nothing. I had no problems with proxy this time so I can't post a picture. As I keep looking I will post any new information.

The Eset I just run was from the download I got yesterday. To me the program was okay. It just wouldn't download the updates it wanting a proxy set up. I do not use or ever have used a proxy to the best of my knowledge.
Any other ideas are welcome.

I'm going to run Eset one more time.

Where did you download the ESET program ? Are you using the for Firefox and Chrome or the ActiveX one for IE ?

I just removed all of Eset scanner. I also haven't tried Brittons site yet.

Going into Safe Mode and see what I can find.

This might not be correct but it has always been this way and it has always worked. If their is a better way I will try it.

Thanks VistaKing. I already remove that Sweet thing but I went through it again with your suggestion just to make sure.
I'm not really sure how I get it because I do read every thing when downloading. Maybe it is from sort of down loader. I try not to use special down loaders.

You're welcome. Some downloads only use a downloader and I always UNinstall it right away. If they want me to use one, I'll search like hell for the author's site to find a clean d/l.
