I downloaded and ran the batch file for cleaning the event logs and nothing changed. It didn't remove anything, it was still the same, any ideas? I cleaned them individually with each clean line in the r/h column. How do you clean Administrative Events, it has no way to clean it.

There should be an option to clear the log the same way as the others, on the right. Why would you want to clear them? You can also try Disk Cleanup to clean more stuff up.

Do it manually by right clicking each individual log and selecting clear log. First do the System, Application and Security. Go back to Administrative events and see if there are any still showing. If there are some, note what it is in the Source column. Example, Dhcp-Client. Now in the left tree sidebar, drop down to Applications and Service Logs, expand it, expand Microsoft, expand Windows, expand Dhcp-Client, right click and clear log. Do that for any items found in Source column. It's more time consuming than the batch method, but it works

There just getting big and I'd like to clean them and let them start over. There was a place to clear them in the R/H column all except Administrative and that had no place to clear it.

I'm not seeing any mentioned softwares above or are you talking about the batch file cleanup method?

The batch file that I had downloaded from the Tutorial didn't work, but the one from your reference worked although I see it was modified on 2/3/10 so maybe that's why it works now. Thank you for the link.
