Excel Recent Document not opening from Recent Documents

When I go to the top left "Office Button" in Excel and go to my Recent Documents I can open most files, but there's one which does not open. I can open it by going to Open and finding it in my folders or directly from my Windows Explorer files, so the file is not a problem. I've tried opening it and closing it from both of these methods to see if I could reestablish a link, but that didn't work. I've also looked at "Excel Options" in the Advanced section, but didn't see anything that looked like it was the problem.

Again, I can open most recent files from Recent Documents, but this one doesn't work. Has anyone had this issue and fixed it?

Perhaps this MS website may help you. It is applicable to Excel 2007, but if you read paragraph 3 under the first heading there is reference to opening files using Explorer & then finding they wont open in Excel, which might help you.
