my sound is now so much better?

I finally installed my chipset drivers and realtek audio drivers in Windows 7, and my sound is very noticeably improved, and louder. I had problems hearing DVDs in XP, but in 7 it's clear and loud. This is great, I just don't understand why there is such a difference. Anyone have an idea?

This setting can cause problems with hearing DVD's. It needs to be set to DVD quality and it's not set there by default as it should be.

It's strange but Vista had very poor sound support but now with 7 it seems that they have really tried their hardest to sort this out. I am pleased you have good results happy sevening :)

Since you are using the same hardware as in XP, we can safely assume its all down to drivers!

The only problem is that in XP windows update automatically did all the work for me and there on 7 i have to manually download and install my drivers :/

Uggh, this is becoming very complicated for me since i have a very specific type of sound card :P
