Windows Explorer has been crashing while loading each time I boot up. When I restart explorer, as it asks me to do, it crashes again. I'm not sure how to fix this. This is the problem details I'm getting each time:

c000001d = STATUS_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION, which could mean a number of things. What bothers me most, though is that the module causing the crash is a Microsoft module as well. When did this start happening? Also, if you run ShellExView and disable all non-Microsoft extensions (and reboot), does the problem persist?

I couldn't get online on Windows to get ShellExView, and even if I could, Explorer doesn't give me enough time to run it without crashing. Right now I'm online on Linux; otherwise I wouldn't have any internet access whatsoever.

Can you boot into safe mode (without network) and get explorer to load on that Windows installation?
