Explorer Folder Sort Suddenly Applies to All Folders

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to put this, so mods, please move if necessary.

In my computer at work (Win 7 x64), my folders have suddenly decided to synchronize their sort options. If I remember this right, previously I had different sort options in my folders. Some were sorted by date, and some were sorted by filename. For some reason now, if I sort one folder by date they are all sorted by date, or if I sort one folder by filename they are all sorted by filename. This is very annoying because I keep having to sort the folders every time I go to one that has to be sorted by one or the other.

It seems to me that each of the individual folders used to remember how they were sorted and stayed that way. This has only been happening in the last couple of weeks. I thought that there was a setting in Windows Explorer that you could set to "Remember" the folder characteristics, but I can't find it.

Any ideas to preserve my sanity would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Bryan,

If you like, you could use the tutorial below to reset all folder views back to default. You'll have to set them each back to how you wanted afterwards though.
