No you can install all 160 ? important updates I forget how many exactly.
Net 4.5.2 just acted better for my 32 bit system

Correct...... 160 excluding 4, the 2 initial offline ones, 1 4.5.2 and 1 for the Nvidia.

You are over thinking this, you could have installed them one at a time by now.

Windows update is screwed up for just about everybody on Win 7, there are many different methods that work for people.

You just have try something, I just put it on auto update and let the thing sit overnight, that took care of almost all of them.

You are over thinking this, you could have installed them one at a time by now.

I did try doing 25 but gave an error as posted. You are on W10, would you like to edit and suggest a plan before I start.......What could be something different from what have tried till now?

I was talking about a win 7 computer, no I don't have anything to change a plan, if they fail in groups try smaller groups, try the .NET one at a time, try any of them one at a time.

Ok supposedly if I started with only 1 and that too KB3138962, it would have failed......since when did a 25 bunch it failed there......

Nope I was talking to him, I was trying to point out that there can be many ways to get there but just try something.

One persons plan may not work for another, nothing against any of the suggested plans but planning is only thinking without action.

I totally agree with you Derek, last question, can history of installed updates be edited?

Failed updates cause no errors as to functioning, stability of OS, just history is full of failed........

I leave it and go back to it later, install what I could, however I could. when only failures are left, I'd work from that.

After the first failures which were mostly net 3.5 stuff this is why I said install net 4.5.2 = what the hell at this point it seems to work best on a existing installs.
