Windows 7 home premium 64bit

Hi,

following a windows 7 update overnight, my cu fan is now like hairdryer!
I have rebooted a couple of times but to no avail.

i have looked at the task manager and the highest cpu usage are drop box and bit defender antivirus but they have been ever presents.

baffled. Any ideas on what type of updates could cause this? they were all important Microsoft ones.

thanks

I would suspect coincidental and something else has happened. Look at the BIOS setup for speed. Boot into BIOS and see if the CPU fan is running at high speed. Old Dell's used to speed up during boot.

No system info so all we can do is guess or offer general suggestions.
