I want to move my sent faxes from the WIN XP fax console to the WIN 7 sent fax folder. I know the locations but having copied all the tif files they do not show up when I open WIN 7 Fax and Scan as items in the sent folder. Only new faxes that I send directly from WIN 7 show up. Is there a solution to this or some conversion I need to do?

Try moving the copied files to Documents > Scanned Documents. They might not show as faxes, but that's the only thing I'm coming up with...

I have searched throughout the forums for a solution to this problem, and everybody talks about permissions. I have tried moving the files to the "Public" folder, my user fax folder (for the life of me, I do not know why MS did not do this to start with), etc. all to no avail. Moving the faxes to the scanned folder allows access to the sent fax files for viewing, forwarding and other actions.

I need to do something similar and was thinking of using Windows Easy Transfer to get the job done. I'm almost sure you can do selective transfers where you can select specific files/folders. I'm not sure of WET's effectiveness though.
