File table rebuilding software?

Ok, i've a 1TB drive, pretty full with music, and its lost both file tables when the system crashed during a defrag :/
Windows reports the drive corrupt and unreadable, and thus, cannot open it.
chkdsk reports it as a ntfs drive, but cannot continue. damage is beyond its capabilities.
Spinrite has been over the drive, and reported no errors, and all the drive is readable.

I've got a few file recovery progs, which i've scanned with, and all the files are still there, and intact, i've extracted a few for testing, which are ok, but as there is just shy of 1TB of data, its impractical to recover all to another drive, without me going out and buying one.

So, what i'm looking for is....
Software that scans for files, offers up the list of found files after scan,
and then lets you select which files you wish to keep, and re-builds the file tables with the selected files. Thus negating the need to recover to separate drive.

I'm sure this must exist somewhere....but after extensive googleing, i'm fed up looking at at pages of tat that dont really help.

So, throw a dog a bone here, and give me a few names of software that can do this please! Thanks :)

Testdisk is a nice tool, but unfortunately it reports MFT and mirror are both bad (which i kinda guessed) , and cannot fix, as it only seems to have the capabilities of restoring the MFT from the mirror.

Any other suggestions?
