Files & Folders Gone Hiding

I recently upgraded my system from Win XPPro to Win 7 Ultimate. My system runs smoothly except this weird thing I hardly don't understand. When I go to "My Computer" all the partitions created with the former OS are visible. Free spaces and Used spaces are visible as well, but when I open one of the partitions i.e. (D:) partition, it says: "This Folder is empty" and why NOT "Partition?" ... I do remember a folder named "MP3s" I stored before. I tried to see if it appears by going to the address bar and typed D:\MP3s, the MP3 files appeared but not the folder named "MP3s" itself.

How to make those folders and files be visible? Win 7 prodigies, Please help:cry:

Thank you in advance

I've done many re-installs and my OS has always recognized the other partitions on the computer just fine. This may be an artifact of upgrading from XP. Did you do a clean install or an upgrade? Also, are your partitions formatted differently, like one being FAT32 and the other NTFS?

Ohhh.. sorry Sir, but I can't remember which one of the two options I clicked when I installed Win7 (Do you mean "Upgrade" & "Custom (Advance)? I supposed) Yes, When I was still Win XP, I did format them with NTFS.

Well, if you formatted in NTFS, your new Windows partition should be in NTFS as well, so that rules that out hopefully.

Oh wait, I just remembered, you can't upgrade from XP, it has to be a clean install due to limitations in the upgrade path.

One thing to try is this, right click on My Computer, then click on the Manage button, there click on the Disc Management option in the field on the left. Once there, make sure your computer recognizes all the partitions as Healthy Primary.

Yes, it says "Healthy (Primary Partition)". But still the contents of that partition are not visible.
