Hello, i just bought an HP Pavilion DV7-4040ed with an buildin fingerprint reader. I am able to secure websites and login screen with the fingerprint reader. But now im wondering how to secure a map with the fingerprint reader. So that when i double click the map on my desktop it will ask for my fingerprint :)

Thanks in advance

I realize this is not answering your question.... but I suggest you do some reading on the pros & cons of fingerprint readers.

If somebody steals your fingerprints, you're pretty much out of luck for the rest of your life. You wouldn't be able to use your prints as a form of identification until you were absolutely sure all copies had been destroyed. There's no way to get new prints.
I have 3 HP laptops here with fingerprint readers. I consider them part of HP's bloatware & as such are never used.
