Well... while messing around with my configurations in Firefox, I found what it could be a better workaround than just disabling hardware aceleration for fixing garbled text, like this.
If you got garbled text... you can try this lil' fix...
Open FF and in there, in the web adress bar, type about:config
In there, accept the warning and in the search barlook for the parameter "gfx.content.azure.backends"
Now that you found that parameter, it should say "direct2d", change that to "opengl" (I know it's weird...) by double clicking and typing "opengl" in the text box.
Close and restart FF.
You should be good now... FF text issues may dissapear just as magic, I tested this and worked flawlessly, even tested flash and html5 videos and performance is the same as with direct2d... I don't know why opengl works (even if undocumented, maybe has to do with the fact that direct2d API's modified by KB2670838 are not used with this value, or maybe Mozilla was secretly working on an alternative for MS's API's and stuff) but it does by now.

Seems that every browser has it's flaws... but at least with this fix i culd get readable text using FF on my desktop (weird enough, my laptop doesn't exhibit this issues )
By my own I can tell that maybe the best browser for text could be IE10... but that is cheating if other browsers have issues with KB2670838...

Maybe it's because they finally got rid of that problem in that specific build... in FF 22 the problem still exists... also, not all people seem to experiment this issues, for example, in my case, my lappy works great with FF using no fixes, while I had to do this on my desktop one
