First build crashing

Your problems are probably being caused by incorrect timing settings in the bios. They become more evident with both sticks in.

Try to find the default specs of the ram and set to match. After your system stabilizes, you can write down those settings and tweak (overclock) from there if you want.

. For each stick I ran a15 minute 100% stress test on CPU, RAM, video and then all three at the same time.

15minutes is not good enough... More like a couple hours.. Overnight when you are sleeping..

15 minutes is definitely not enough.

Please heed this advice..

TGSoldier,

Thank you for your response.

I understand that 15 minutes is not a very long test in the grand scheme of things. But the system went from crashing within the first few minutes of the stress test to completing a 15 minute cycle. I think that is a significant improvement and it’s providing more clues to the root of the problem. Would you agree?

Absolutely not. Try at least two hours for a short test.

Point taken, two hours it is.
