Hello I am running windows 7 RTM. Everytime I am downloading many files on flashget my memory usage going up and in the end I get to my max and I must restart or the windows just stuck and crushes.

My question if someone else have this problem or maybe problem is not in windows 7 maybe in my ram but I runned the win7 memory tool and it didnt find any problems.

All the suggestions will be helpfull.

Check for an updated version of Flashget, it's kind of normal for memory usage to go up while downloading large files. But it shouldn't go up to the extent to cause your PC to crash.

Memory usage going higher the more files you download and in the end the laptop crushes. Updated version of flashget not solving the problem.

Hope to see more repies.

OK. I having same problem with memory in PC. (Win 7 64bit)

I also use Flashget classic ver. (latest)

I left PC to run over night and i find dead PC in the morning.

It usualy runs with 600-700MB when i run PC, but after some time running Flashget i got 1,7GB+ untill PC stop respond (it has only 2GB of RAM)

I will now leave PC to work and build some usage of memory and then i can post pictures about memory usage if needed.

Please help.
Thank you.

Hello everyone.

If you're able to add more RAM to the machines you'd have an easier time of it, 2GB is the bare minimum for what you're talking about, especially for those of you using 64-bit, 4GB would be better if the motherboard will handle it. I'm sorry there's not a better answer for you.

No, its not 2GB fault. Its enouf for any kind of downloading. Its some kind of memory leak, every hour i loose 150MB of ram, adding 2GB more ram would do nothing, except i could download 6-8 more hours before PC drop dead :)

PS. I got warning for hijacking this thread, i will open new one. With some pictures.
