Folder icon messed up

i want the default icons windows 7 gives you cuz i dont care much for themes but i was bored and looked at one installed it didnt like it so i got rid of it but my icons for the folders have not changed (i have tried restoring them back to default) idk whats wrong with it but its bugging me alot

another thing is how the Short cuts look it has the huge arrow that takes up half the icon and i wanna get rid of it too i have tried restoring icons to default multiple times and wont work

i have also opened my picture folder and watched the default icons i want change to the ones above

if you know what this may be plz tell me i would greatly appreciate it

Try running an elevated command prompt and type sfc /scannow and that should restore them to default, if that doesn't work try deleting the icon cache, you need to have show hidden files and folders enabled and go to your user name/AppDatta/Local/iconcache.db and delete it and reboot.

You might see if doing a System Restore using a restore point dated before you changed these icons may be able to fix them for you.
