Folder view settings changing after I select the view I want

I keep all of my folders in Large Icons view but sometimes they revert to 'Details' view on their own! How do I get them to stay in Large Icons view permanently?

In addition to what Shawn said above, have a look in your Windows Update history for this update and see if you have it,

December 2014 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2

as part of it,

is supposed to deal with this.
