frequent BSOD caused by ntoskrnl.exe and many others on windows 7

hi there!! i'm done scanning and malwarebytes didn't detect any malicious items...

do i have to download and install all the 3 programs that you mention to monitor the temperatures?? do they automatically do the work or do i still need to run them to monitor temperatures??

I would download all three and see which seem to have accurate temperatures. If any give you idle temperatures below ambient (the temperature in the room the computer sits in), then that temperature software probably is not the most reliable for that sensor.

You will need to run them and watch them to monitor the temperatures. Some of them have logging features that may be used if the temperatures are accurate.

In one of your posts, provide both the temperatures when the computer is at idle and when it is under stress.

If the hwinfo readings are correct, and you are not doing any CPU intensive tasks (and probably even if you are doing intensive tasks), then your CPU temperatures are way too high. I would check your CPU thermal cooling devices: fans, thermal compound between CPU and heatsink, and the heatsink

Make sure you have the proper amount of thermal compound between the CPU and heatsink and that the fan is working properly.

Since it is a laptop, I guess you do not unless you are comfortable taking it apart. Just run the tests above and see what temperatures things max out at. Acer may have to fix it if you find the temperatures get too high.

For FurMark, just download and install it, then run through the stability test. See http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lo...op-0x116-video_tdr_error-troubleshooting.html for steps to use FurMark and setup the logging and testing.

Don't worry about it. I don't have the courage to take laptops apart either. ;) I may teach myself when my five year old laptop dies, though.

Let us know how the tests go.

hi there!!! i'm done running furmark...i still need to run the other 2 tests but i just want to tell you the result, which i actually didn't know how to determine...btw i got the screenshots of it... and i really didn't know when to stop running the test but in my case i decided to stop after the max temperature stopped at 90°C and didn't increase even after about more than 3mins so i just quit it... and it just closed down by itself..... i used the furmark version 1.8.5 btw...

About what I would expect for the GPU. Your APU was a bit hotter than I would advise (though admittedly, I am not familiar with your processor), but if the laptop did not power itself off, it is probably okay. I cannot seem to find a max temperature rating for your processor. AMD C Series C-60 does not include one.

The closest I could find is AMD C-50; if that is used to judge, your APU is getting too hot. Given the age of the system, I would recommend contacting ACER and telling them it seems to run a bit hot and explain the problems you have had.

You're welcome to continue with the tests, but be advised that temperatures seem on the high/critical side.

I do suggest checking for viruses as suggested in an earlier post of mine and doing the diagnostics for the hard drive with the Hitachi Drive Fitness Test just to be sure.

as for the other test,,maybe i'll try to do them some other day...i'm kind of lazy today... :sleepy:

i may still post here someday...and since i still haven't solve my problem,, i won't marked this as solved yet...

This appears to be a hardware issue. To be absolutely certain, you could backup any important data and restore the factory system image. Press ALT+F10 when the computer turns on to start the recovery process(not when Windows starts, but when the system physically turns on and you see the ACER logo at POST).

Make sure all important data is backed up because this will return the computer to how it was when you bought it and remove all other data and software installed on the computer since then.

Acer Support - Answers, E-Mail, Chat - How do I restore my computer using the eRecovery Management program? may also be of interest.

but you know,, i think the restore was already done once or twice when i brought it back to where i purchased it...but bsods still appear.. they even sent it to repair but i don't know what kind of repair they've done because they didn't solve the problem at all... so i tried to troubleshoot it myself by asking help here...
