Hi guys,

I recently made a clean install of w7 Ultimate 32 bit on my desktop.

My specs:
ASRock Alive XFire Sata 2
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
Geil Ultra 2 Gb RAM
NVIDIA Geforce 8500 GT
Seagate 250 Gb 7200 RPM

Since then I have been getting frequent BSOD on shutdown.
The screen appears only for a couple seconds then the system restarts.
When prompted, I just hit 'start Windows normally' and everything runs just fine.

I have attached the .dmp files.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Vilian ! Welcome to SF !

Seems like the Dump are pointing to Core Windows Files which could not be the actual issue. Please follow the below steps.

Run a Hardware Diagnostic (Memory and Hard Drive) follow this link for instructions Hardware Diagnostic !! « Captain Debugger

Uninstall AVG completely and run the Cleanup Tool to make sure it removes all the left over files. Check this link for more help on this BSOD vs. Internet Security !! « Captain Debugger

Also uninstall Skype because all the crashes has happen while Skype was running i would recommend to remove it and let the System run without Skype for few days. Also run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Upload the Mouse / Keyboard drivers seems like few crashes are pointing to i8042prt.sys with Hardware ID ACPI\PNP0F03 which is usually a Logitech or Microsoft Keyboard.

Hope this helps,
Captain

In addition to Captain's good advice, remove Zone Alarm with this tool: http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/free/support/cpes_clean.exe

After you remove AVG, run this tool: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/avg_arm_sup_____.dir/avgremover.exe

Update your Realtek Networking drivers. If you upload your msinfo32 file, I can assist you with that.

Enter msinfo32.exe into the start menu, and press enter. Go to File>Save, and save a copy on your desktop. Right-click on it, and select Send to>New compressed folder. Then attach the file to your next post.

Thanks for the advice.

I started following the instructions (did memory and hard drive diagnostic, no problems found).
I was browsing the msinfo32 file when I discovered that there was a problem with the mouse (it is a Labtec optical mouse, the device manager did not detect this problem, it said that the driver is installed and up to date and that this device is properly working). So anyway, I removed the driver, restarted the system, let windows search automatically for the best driver. It happened 3 days ago, no BSOD since then....
So it seems like problem solved, thanks again.
