Hi all,
I've got a laptop with win 7, 64 bit installed but I can't install any software, updates, etc. What is happening is:
1. I install an update, software, etc and it seems to go ok.
2. I then restart the laptop where I get the windows closing down symbol (wheel spinning) for a second or two and then the laptop instantly switches off.
3. When I restart the laptop its says windows did not shutdown properly and then you get to select the usual options.
If I don't install anything the laptop seems to shut down/start up correctly and I don't get the message in 3.
I've looked through the Event Logs (default settings) and can't see any reason in them
I've managed to run a registry cleaner and it says all is good.
Any ideas please as I'm at a loss what to do next
Many thanks
Chris
