Fresh install of 7 help please

hi guys

i have just installed windows 7 again but it is not finding all the updates it needs. it finds about 9 updates then in installs windows sp1 pack and then the windows updater updates, then the windows updater just keeps searching and never stopping. i have reinstalled it 3 times now and its not working.

its missing net.frame works and everything. it normally finds about 71 updates now its only finding 9 and most of them are optional.

this isn`t the first time i have installed windows 7 and it never did this before.

any help please?

I would start over using Win7 installation media that includes SP1 to avoid problems. How to obtain it is discussed in Step 1 of Clean Reinstall Windows 7 which compiles everything that's worked best in tens of thousands of installs we've directly helped with here, and has been used by 1.5 million consumers without a single complaint.

As it also explains in the tutorial Updates can bunch up on the Start menu Shutdown button as signified by a ! mark. These may need to be cleared with only a shutdown to proceed. Then check for Updates and if it doesn't resolve you can Troubleshoot problems with installing updates - Windows Help
but I wouldn't waste much time since you'll have a much better install if you start over following the first tutorial.
