Cael so I have it right the mice they wired or wifi??

If the mice are wireless have they tried using a wired one and vice versa??

Now generally speaking when one plugs either in it usually tells you that the software for the new device is being installed so did he or she see that??

My other thought is with the USB drivers - just where did he or she get them - if it was the Windows feature then being no fan of that I would suggest he or she try find the drivers from the manufacturers.

it's a Wired Mouse for them and it goes nuts after an hr from rebooting.

They should be able to disable to mouse pad on the laptop, so check to see if that has been done. From what I have read leaving the laptop mouse pad active can interfere with a USB external mouse.
