Gadgets jumping on Desktop?!?!

With Windows 7, my desktop gadgets can't be aligned the way I want. When I move the gadget to certain spots of the screen, it jumps up a few lines. It seems that the gadgets want to have a personal bubble around certain areas. I've had this problem with all my Win 7 machines. I didn't have this problem with Vista. Is it a setting??
