Game installation failures

Hey, i've been trying to install games on my new laptop,
it's a windows 7 x64 Home premium OS with 6GB ram and an Intel i3 processor,

for example when I try to install The Sims 3 I get an error,
i'll attatch an image of the error

The file may have been corrupted. I suggest getting another copy.
